_{Hi I am Chanon deValois and I am a Canadian Photographer living and working in the United Kingdom for almost 2 decades now (where does the time go!).}

_{I grew up in an artistic household, my mother an artist and art teacher, I too am a artist but from the young age of 8 I was drawn to photography, a calling that has never been far from my mind. I was given my first camera at 9 and I was rarely without it. At the age of 15 I had saved up enough to buy my first SLR and then progressing on to medium format and large format by 18.}

_{I studied Photography in Canada and that laid the foundations for my knowledge and gave me the opportunity to hone my darkroom and printing skills. In the film age there was a lot of trial and error but before the photoshop age it taught me that getting things right in camera is essential.}

_{I have lived in Canada, Australia and finally the UK, I love traveling and experiencing new cultures and photographing those journeys. Despite being Canadian I don’t like the cold or winter. My favorite season is Spring. I love the smell of fresh coffee and baking bread but can’t actually eat bread! I would love to live near the sea as I love the sound of the waves crashing in on the beach. I love watching the sunset and how it is varies every day. I like to tell it like it is and prefer the naked truth to a sugar coated one. I am the quiet one in my family, honest!}
